Service Learning is a major that will lead a person into the world of what are called “Non Profits.” Organizations like the Red Cross, Green Peace, Habitat for Humanity and the Lumina Foundation are all different forms of “Non Profits.” They generate their revenue from grants, gifts, and perhaps business interests designed no so much to turn a business profit, but rather, to better humanity due to their work. There are literally hundreds of thousands of “Non Profits” in the country. What they all have in common is that they, like any other business, need highly motivated, idealistic, hardworking, progressive managers who will go above and beyond the call of duty. Service Learning is the major that will prepare tomorrows Non-Profit leadership.
