Wright State University
Program Info: Electrical Engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the broad field of electricity, which includes many important and exciting areas of study. Electrical engineers work with power, control systems, and microelectronics. They are also concerned with signal processing and telecommunications. Electrical engineers have developed RF systems for a wide-range of applications, such as tracking fire fighters in a burning structure. Furthermore, electrical engineers study and design integrated circuits.
At Wright State, students participate in exciting, hands-on research throughout their undergraduate experience.
Due to Wright State’s close proximity to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Research Lab, and its relationships with high-tech companies, students have unique opportunities to conduct research on cutting-edge technologies. Furthermore, students work on teams to research, design, and build state-of-the-art Senior Design projects. Wright State’s College of Engineering and Computer Science has partnered with the State of Ohio and over 30 companies to provide over $3 million in internships to students.
